Worldwide Market Adoption & Procedure Growth Scientific Progress Has Demonstrated Magnetic Value in EP Unparalleled capability to generate high density accurate arrhythmia maps – precise ablation. • VT • A-Tach Safely addresses the challenges of complex anatomy and delicate tissue conditions. • Pediatrics • Atrial Appendage Ability to improve continuous linear line creation mimicking the surgeon’s hands • AF • Epicardial Internal Stereotaxis data • “The Epoch solution is a major step toward making robotics standard of care and is a big step toward the goal exceeding the human hand.” • Zyad Younan, MD, Electrophysiologist, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
Scientific Progress – Over 200 Peer Reviewed Publications 2012 HRS – Scientific Proof • Pediatric Arrhythmia • Other work from Rotterdam shows 93% success rates in the smallest children with significant reductions in fluoroscopy times, and most importantly, no complications. • Many centers (Royal Brompton, Erasmus, others) now consider Magnetic navigation their gold standard for children. • Atrial Fibrillation • A paper from Milan, Italy and an HRS presentation from Bordeaux, France both suggest recurrence rates after magnetic ablation may be reduced by 10% or more compared to non-magnetic treatment. • Data from Austin, TX shows that magnetic navigation can yield 100% acute success using their preferred technique. • Congenital Heart Defects • A paper & HRS presentation from Rotterdam have demonstrated success rates of 90% in these cases. They note that magnetic navigation makes these complex cases as easy as treating normal adult hearts. • Ventricular Tachycardia • HRS presentations from Prague & Univ of OK show that magnetic ablation can have success rates as high as 90% with fluoroscopy as low as 8 minutes. • Similar non-magnetic studies have shown success rates closer to 80% with fluoroscopy times as high as 45 minutes.
