Data Warehouse • This initiative will deploy a BI tool to support accessing and analyzing data from a variety of enterprise systems including: • Standard reports for the end user • A single architecture providing self-service reporting and analysis • Data documentation and definitions will support users’ understanding of data • Data access policies and roles will promote greater access to data and improved compliance • Support and training will enable various audiences to effectively use the reporting solutions • Contact: Bill Hayward bh@northwestern.edu 847 491 7918

NUPortal • Web-enabled enterprise services will come together through The NUPortal, an online service provided by NUIT. • ServicePoint, the project team for The NUPortal, began planning, project management, and development in 2006. This service is scheduled to launch in summer 2007. • Using a secure, user-friendly Web interface, The NUPortal will provide a personalized, role-based, single point of access to the online services that are essential to academic, research, and administrative work at Northwestern. • A “Research Portlet” will be created • Contact: Harry Samuels harry.samuels@northwestern.edu 847 467 4483
