  4. Include • Photocopies of evidence • Receipt • Canceled check • Warranty

  5. The Product or Service • Include the model or serial number Serial Number 123-67-9821

  6. The Problem • Be specific about what is wrong. • Be sure to include any inconvenience the problem is causing you.

  7. Attempted Solution • If you have already tried to solve the problem: • Explain what you did • Who you talked to

  8. The Solution • Explain what action you want the reader to take • A refund • A replacement • An apology

  9. Format of the letter • Personal Business Letter • Be sure to include your: • Name • Address • City, State and Zip
