Reverence in Worship • Leviticus 26:2 “reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord” • H3372 יראyârê‘ yaw-ray‘ A primitive root; to fear; morally to revere; causatively to frighten: - affright, be (make) afraid, dread (-ful), (put in) fear (-ful, -fully, -ing). (be had in) reverence (-end), X see, terrible (act, -ness, thing). • H4720 מקּדשׁ מקדּשׁmiqdâshmiqqedâshmik-dawsh',mik-ked-awsh‘ From H6942; a consecrated thing or place, especially a palace, sanctuary (whether of Jehovah or of idols) or asylum: - chapel, hallowed part, holy place, sanctuary.

  3. Reverence in Worship • Reverence is honor or respect felt or shown. • 1Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. • Romans 15:6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Reverence in Worship • John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. • Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. • Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire. • (Acts 5:1-11) Ananias and Sapphira

Order in the Assembly • Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. • Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." • Hebrews 8:1 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens

  10. A few suggestions to help… • Prepare your mind for worship • Stay in the pew?! • Be aware of toddlers to teens • Be physically and mentally alert • Concentrate on what is going on; Put all other things out of your mind
