Summary 12 year old Henry York had just moved in with his Aunt and Uncle because they believe that his parents have been kidnapped. Lying in bed at night Henry cant ignore the thumping and scratching coming from the wall. One day he scrapes of the plaster and discovers 99 cupboards of all different sizes and shapes. Most of the cupboards he could see things or hear them. Through one of them he sees a glowing room with a man strolling through and talking. Through another he hears rain. Henry and his cousin Henrietta are understanding that these cupboards are actually portals to other worlds. Will they solve who the man is and how those cupboards appeared there?
