  2. Australia Australia is a southern continent that is to the South-West of the United States. Australia is currently inhabitated by over 22 million people.

  3. What they’re known for • Australians are probably most known for funny accents and weird use of words like the phrase “G’Day Mate”. • Australia is also known for its variety of animals like the koala, funnel web spider, the kangaroo, its colorful birds, and crocodiles.

  4. Australia's Animals Australia has a lot of dangerous animals like the crocodile, the box jellyfish, great white shark, and the funnel web spider. Australia also has more normal animals like the koala.

  5. Australian tourist attractions • Australia has a lot of tourist attractions. Some of them could be the Outback, Ayers rock, and some of their National Parks. Some of the tourists just like to go to the beach.

  6. Australian Cities • Australia has most of its cities on the coast. Australia’s capital is Canberra but Sydney is its largest city.

  7. The Outback • The Outback covers most of Australia. The outback contains Ayers Rock and Alice Springs. The Outback contains some of the 5531km dingo fence that is in Australia.

  8. Unusual Facts • From 1838 to 1902 it was illegal to swim during the day. • Emus and kangaroos cannot walk backwards. • In 1967, Australian prime minister Harold Holt had went to the beach to go for a swim and they never saw him again.
