CANARIE is pivotal in fostering Canada's research and education network (REN) by developing world-class digital infrastructure. It aims to address projected growth in research traffic, with forecasts suggesting a 50% annual increase that necessitates a tenfold bandwidth expansion. CANARIE's next mandate includes creating a generic researcher desktop tool to improve access to digital resources and enable shared services. By leveraging its network, CANARIE aspires to catalyze integration, drive national identity initiatives, and position Canada as a leader in global data management and research collaboration.
