  3. Reflecting (cont’d): • Each Strategy Inquiry group will have about 4 minutes to present your group's product. • While groups are presenting, continue your “Connect, Extend, Challenge” notes from last week, making connections between the ideas being presented and your prior knowledge. • Please complete a CEC feedback form to share with one or more of the presenting groups.

  4. Crafting: • Defining the coaching role – when (early), why (effectiveness), what (topic for today’s PD)… • Articles on the wiki (wikiams.pbworks.com/March-30): • “What Teachers Say About Coaching” • “Why Coaching From Taking the Lead” • How can we make more effective use of “instructional coaching” to support our emphasis on the 3 R’s?

  5. Composing :Wagon Wheels Brainstorm • Process • Set up four chairs back-to-back at the hub of the wheel (for stationary participants) and four on the outer circle facing the hub (for rotating participants). • You will be working on one topic with each partner for approximately 4 minutes, rotating partners for each topic. • Start by reaching a common understanding of what the topic means, and then brainstorm what it would look like in action. • Take notes in your journal on your own and your partners’ ideas. • Purposes • To generate many ideas and deeper thinking in a short time. • To develop a shared purpose and mental image of a new idea in action to inform how we implement that idea. 4 3 2 1 4 3 2 1
