GE junction tumors • Type II: arising from cardiac epithelium • True ca of the cardia arsing from the cardiac epithelium or short segments with intestinal metaplasia at the GE junction: this entity is also often referred to as “junctional ca” (Siewert et al Classification of adenocarcinoma of the oesophagogastric junction.
