  1. OVERVIEW Bullying is an ongoing physical or Verbal mistreatment where there is an imbalance of power and the victim (target) is exposed repeatedly to negative actions on the part of one or more other BULLYING PREVENTION & AWARENESS students.

  2. BULLYING is when a student causes another student to feel less safe, fearful, or like they are unable to participate in school. Bullying, often involves an imbalance of power, and can include physical, verbal, or psychological actions against a student. Bullying can also happen through communications, including social media.   3. PHYSICAL VERBAL Physical bullying, includes physical contact that would hurt or injure a person like hitting, kicking,punching. Verbal bullying, includes making offensive,remarks, socioeconomic status, or the way they look. TYPES OF BULLYING INDIRECT CYBER Indirect bullying, includes spreading rumors or stories about someone, telling others about something that was told to you in private. Cyberbullying is done by sending messages, pictures, or information using electronic media, computers,or cell phones.

  4. RISK FACTOR These traits are common among the target of bullying: • Socially isolated. • Physically weak or with special need. • Quick tempered. • Emotionally reactive. • Overweight. FOR THE TARGET

  5. RISK FACTOR These traits are common among the offender of bullying: • Impulsive. • Aggresive. • Social leader. • Self involved. • Lack of empathy. FOR THE OFFENDER

  6. • All and staff will participate in a Bullying Prevention Intervention training annually. • All students will participate in bullying prevention lessons during the second week of the school year. Prevention • All 5th – 8th grade students will participate in Bullying/Cyberbullying Presentations. Strategies • • All parents also attend the bullying preventions lessons. • Parents must to interact with child, to know what he/she do in school and everything happens in school. All parents/guardians will be invited to attend a Bullying/Cyberbullying Parent University Session. Bullying

  7. Warning Signs that a Child is bullying? JUST BULLIED, THERE ARE ALSO SIGNS THAT PARENTS CAN LOOK FOR THAT THEIR CHILD IS A BULLY. SOME OF THOSE SIGNS INCLUDE: • FAILURE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS. • FREQUENTLY GETTING INTO ALTERCATIONS. • BEING DISCIPLINED AT SCHOOL ON A REGULAR BASIS. • INCREASED CONCERN ABOUT THEIR REPUTATION OR BEING A PART OF THE IN CROWD. • HAVING EXTRA MONEY OR NEW BELONGINGS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO EXPLAIN HOW THEY GOT THEM. AS THERE ARE WARNING SIGNS THAT A CHILD IS BEING VERBAL AND PHYSICAL

  8. How can a bully be stopped? SCHOOLS TOLERANCE AND MAKING IT CLEAR THAT BULLYING BEHAVIORS ARE UNACCEPTABLE. SCHOOLS CAN IMPLEMENT TREATING PEERS AND ADULTS CONSEQUENCES FOR THOSE WHO SETTING UP A SYSTEM FOR REPORTING BULLYING MAKES IT EASIER FOR VICTIMS AND WITNESSES TO BULLIES IN THEIR SCHOOL. CAN STOP BULLYING BY CREATING A CULTURE OF RULES THAT STRESS ESTABLISH ALSO, WITH RESPECT, ENGAGE AND BULLYING. IN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE
