  2. Germany & Energy • Germany is the largest economy in the European Union (EU). • Fourth largest economy in the world. • Germany is the top solar cell energy producer. • The Reichstag is set to become the first government building 100% run by renewable energy.

  3. Germany &Transportation • Germany has the largest GDP and largest population with the EU • In 2007 direct foreign investment stood at US$ 630 billion. • The railroad network is some 41,000 kilometers long • About 230,000 kilometers of roads.

Germany & Technology • Germany’s most important jobs include; mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biotechnology and many more. • Companies specializing in green technology have an estimated turnover of 200€ billion. • GDP is 2.407,2 billion € (2009) • 70% of employed Germans work in small to mid-sized companies
