  4. Positive Results • Boosts Morale • Monthly Challenges-Lasting Changes • Creates a great example of the importance of physical activity & wellness goals for our participants.

  5. Requirements To Ensure Absolute Success! • Continuing to stay organized & active • Monthly meetings, newsletters, challenges,& annual training. • Continuing to coordinate with Clinic Managers to ensure time available for meetings & fitness breaks. • Continuing to motivate Wellness Sparkers

  6. What Are We Doing Now? • Monthly meetings with Wellness Sparkers • Yearly Wellness Training for the Tulare WIC Agency • Fundraisers • Healthy Breakfast/Snacks during In-services • Holiday Basket Raffle i.e. Mother’s Day

Monthly Activities • Wellness members volunteer to create measureable monthly challenges • Monthly drawing for previous challenge • Wellness coordinator shares one nutrition related article with sparkers each month • Wellness coordinator publishes newsletter with the following sections: • Challenge description, an article related to challenge, recipe corner, previous winners, and total participation.

  11. In Clinic Sparker Roles • Bring healthy foods when food is served • Lead fitness breaks and encourage participation • Distribute challenges, newsletters, and wellness related articles • Be an example to others
