Exist Product segment • Enthusiast: Diamond class • Luxury product with full extra function. • MSI leading brand product with new technology. • Hardware Audio, SLI/CrossFire and heatpipe. • Full function: Platinum class • Full function FLAG product with top chipsets. • Match vendor’s promotion, must support SLI / CrossFire and fancy heatpipe. • Dual CoreCell with full function • Mainstream segment • The multi SKUs segment for different market. • Neo on ATX and M with Micro-ATX naming. • Dual CoreCell with basic function. • Value segment • MSI Value segment with basic function. • All in one with Graphic design mostly. • Dual CoreCell as HW monitor.

4. Detail Define on Naming Make Diamond and Platinum Clearly • Flagship level rules: Diamond naming • No any spec on naming. Full extra spec with hardware audio. • Example: P6N Diamond, P35 Diamond, X38 Diamond. • Deluxe level rules: Platinum naming • DDR2/3 difference after Platinum, never add subtitles. • Example: P35 Platinum D3, P35 Platinum Combo. • Special for SLI function with “SLI” before “Platinum” • Example: K9N SLI Platinum, P6N SLI Platinum. • No PCB model change, we use Platinum V2, Platinum V3 • Example: P35 Platinum, P35 Platinum V2 (Pipe cost down) • Change PCB design, we change to Platinum2, Platinum3,… • Example: 945P Platinum2

Detail Define on Naming Flexible rule for special features, like “Digital” • Mainstream/V-Class rules: Neo/M/SLI/Ultra • “Neo” with ATX and “M” with MicroATX. • Example: K9NG Neo2, P35 Neo. • “SLI” and “Ultra” to replace “Neo” on NVIDIA chipsets. • Example: P6N SLI, K9N4 SLI, K9N4 Ultra. • Add Digital for HDMI+DVI solution. • Example: K9AG Neo2-Digital. • MicroATX will use M behind chipset name. • Example: G33M, G33M2, K9AGM3, K9N6GM3. • No PCB model change, we use V2, V3, V4 • Example: 965GM V3, 965GM V4, P965 Neo V2 • Change PCB model, we change to 2, 3,… • Example: K9AGM2, K9AGM3, P35 Neo2

How we define the V2/V3/V4 Easy to understand the version and chipset cost connection. • First Platinum/Neo is most featured product. • We launched every segment with first version • Then we revision for cost down design or lite version. • These revision will be named as V2/V3/V4 • Revision should be follow segment level • If the product revision with different chipset, such as 946GZ/ 945GC, or nForce560/nForce520, then we will put higher segment to be in front of the lower segment. Not follow with the chipset numbers. • For example: nForce560 will be K9N Neo V2, nForce520 will be K9N Neo V3; 946GZ naming will be in front of 945GC, etc.

AM2+ Naming Initial Option Will use K10 for real AM3 “K10” solution. • I recommend this: Use initial “K9P” • K9PN Diamond, K9PA Platinum, K9PNGM • Good for naming rule, but will longer then old K9 naming. • Use initial K9xx with “+” at first name final. • K9N+ Diamond, K9A+ Platinum, K9AGM4+ • Easy to understand, but not a specific initial. • A2/A3, M2/M3 is not that suitable. • K9 title is best for MSI naming series history.

13. New Segment “Titam” New segment “Titam” for cost down version Platinum! “Titam” is from “Titanium”, but easier to pronounce. • Enthusiast: Diamond class • Full function: Platinum class • Mainstream segment • Value segment

Why and how we make “Titam” No Platinum cost drop, match the niche market. • 1, Protect Platinum price and image • If we reduce Platinum value and cost, we may not able to rise the cost on any new coming Platinum products. • Platinum value and image have to be protect for long term. • 2, The define on “Titam” segment. • Pure cost down version from Platinum, keep solid CAP, Platinum PCB and easy pipe for mainstream overclockers. • 3, Fulfill the price segment above Neo. • We may use “Neo” segment to fight on price drop, so this “Titam” segment will keep the rule and follow Platinum cost range.

The Selling Strategy on “Titam” Makes MSI product segment more complete! • 1, Split MSI product line become 5 segment • Diamond, Platinum, Titam, Neo, V-Class. • Neo is flexible to have many SKUs to fight price drop. • 2, Hit competitors segment market • Compare with gigabyte segment, Use Diamond to beat DQ6,Platinum to beat DS4, Titam to beat DS3, Neo to beat S2. • Compare with ASUS, Diamond as P5K3 Deluxe, Platinum as P5K Deluxe, Titam as P5K-E, Neo as P5K. • 3, Titam, the new segment as Titanium class!
