HOW MOLD AND FUNGUS EFFECT HUMAN HEALTH A) Allergy 1) Allergic Asthma 2) Allergic Rhinitis (Hay fever) 3) Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis B) Infection of bronchial and airways Inhalation exposure to mycotoxins cause numerous non specific symptoms C) Toxicity 1) Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergilla (ABPA)-fungus grows within the the patients airways Present theory is that indoor mold and its fragments do not pose a serious and moreover fatal health risk to humans.Target species for this experiment are Aspergillus versicolor, Penicillium melinii, and Cladosprium clasosporioides.

    3. EXPERIEMENTAL SET UP Incubation of agar plates and ceiling for 8 days. Place plate and tiles into a holder of the chamber; at different wind variables (.3ms-1,1.4ms-1,5.8ms1, 29.1ms-1), fragments were blown across an air filter. Remaining spores and fragments were collected at the end or exit of the chamber on a separate filter. SEM analysis- After the samples were collected the filters were coated with platinum and viewed with a low vacuum SEM Immunological reactivity-fungal fragments were pipetted into ELISA wells and incubated overnight. The wells were subjected to 5 different tests. The data was statistically analyzed using STATISTICA for Windows.
