Practical Advantages and Physical Properties • Lightweight, straight grain, medium to fine texture, very light in color • Takes and holds paint, stain, and enamel exceptionally well • Ideal for machining, gluing, sanding, boring and turning • Hypo-allergenic for use in saunas • Edge-glues well; very stable due to very low radial/tangential shrinkage factor (1.16) • Economical transportation by rail, barge and truck • FSC “Pure” including mill residuals (chips, saw dust, bark) • Made in the USA. No issues with ports, lead times, exchange rates and ship fuel surcharges
