This study investigates how various library services contribute to students' academic success at California State University, Bakersfield. With a focus on first-generation college students, the survey reveals key insights into the services that students find most beneficial, including research assistance, electronic periodicals, and library facilities. The results indicate that library services play a crucial role in enhancing students' academic work efficiency and success rates. Understanding these factors is vital for improving retention and supporting student achievement.

Reference personnel friendlinessis more frequently recognized than other reference factors, particularly for first-generation students.
