  2. What is a demonstrative pronoun? A demonstrative pronoun points out a specific person, place, thing, or idea.

  3. This /ðɪs/ The pronoun “this” is used to refer to a singular object which is near the speaker (or here). Example : • This is my pencil. • This must not continue

  4. That /ðæt/ • The pronoun “that” is used to refer to a singular object which is far from the speaker (or there). Example : • That is my pencil. • That must not continue.

  5. These /ðiːz/ • These: The pronoun “these” is used to refer to more than one object which is near the speaker (or here). Example : • These are the shoes I wore. • Two customers wanted these.

  6. Those /ðəʊz/ • Those:: The pronoun “those” is used to refer to more than one object which is far from the speaker (or there). Example : • Those are the shoes I wore. • Two customers wanted those
