  4. A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…. People farmed small plots of land, using tools that were powered by man or animals. Agrarian society

What begins the Revolution • Agricultural Revolution • New advancements in techniques and machines. • Enclosure Movement • The wealthy can afford to try new techniques and then purchase land owned by small farmers. • Rural to Urban Movement • Farmers are out of work, head to cities to find it! • The Rise of Cities ---- Industrialization • Machines are ready now they only need the labor force to operate them. **Jobs are found here**

Entrepreneurs • People who could own and manage businesses • 5.) Transportation • Canals, Roadways, and Railroads connect the country.

  13. What are Textiles? • A cloth, fabric, or processed cloth. • Industry first affected by the INDUST. REV!!

  14. Textile Industry • A high demand existed for cloth/clothing. • Usually a long process. • Machines made it much easier/cheaper to produce. • But….now machines too big, cannot be used at home. • Factories house these larger machines.
