  1. A Day in the Snow by Gavin Berger

  2. One winter morning Gavin woke up and looked out the window. Snow had fallen during the night. It covered everything as far as he could see.

  3. After breakfast, Gavin brushed his teeth. Then he ran outside and built a snowman. He grabbed a football and drank some hot cocoa.

  4. Then, he ran outside and built a snow fort. He got cold and shuffled in. He said. “Dad, can I have hot cocoa ?” Dad said, “Yes.” Gavin said, “Thank you.”

  5. At the end of the day, Gavin went outside and played with Eddie and Burke for the rest of the day.
