DOE 450.1 IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOP

  4. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS • Potential impacts resulting from the activities identified may be detrimental or beneficial Detrimental Impacts • Soil (erosion, permeability) • Diminished seed viability • Diminished water quality • Diminished air quality

  8. ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES AND TARGETS • Example of an objective: • Improve wildlife habitat • Targets may include: • Reduction of fuel loads in specific areas • Eradication of invasive plant species • Replant/reseed area with wildlife food species

  9. CHECKING AND CORRECTIVE ACTION • Conduct post-fire surveys at earliest opportunity to determine extent of damage • Restore/rehabilitate burned areas as appropriate
