  2. Equipment. • You only need a few things to play a game of netball….. • A netball • teams ( 14 players ) • A goal ring • A umpire • BIBS

  3. The Team There are 7 people on the court at a time , so you obviously you need at least 7 people in the team. There are 7 seven positions which are: Goal Shooter ( GS ) Goal Attack ( GA ) Wing attack ( WA ) Centre ( C ) Wing Defence ( WD ) Goal Defence ( GD) and Goal Keeper ( GK ).

  4. Rules There are only a few netball rules you need to follow to play the game well. Some rules are…. 1. Contact- this rule means that you are physically touching and pushing your player and they cant get the ball because you pushing her or him. 2. Stepping- this rule means you can only take an amount of steps when you have the ball in your hand. 3.reply- reply means you have bounced or touched the ball to many times. 4. immtidiation- immtidatuion means you are making the person with the ball distracted or uncomfortable

  5. Umpires • An umpire is a very important part of netball. They control most of the game and they are in charge! To be and umpire you have to know the rules very well you have to keep your eyes on the court at all times. If there is no umpire then there is no game! Normally there are 2 umpires on each side of the court.

  6. The role of the attackers An attacker job is to create as many goal-scoring chances as possible by passing the ball to the shooters. The attackers have a big role in the game. But they also need to help out the defenders the middle third.

  7. The role of defenders. • The main task of the Defence is to defend the attackers, The Defenders also needs to have good attacking skills, which are important for getting the ball out of the defence third, and assisting the team in attack.

  8. HFNC I play for the Healesville Football Netball Club. There are 4 grades which are …. D grade, C grade, B grade and A grade. I play in d grade because that’s where all the younger girls play. This is my first year playing at HFNC. My mum and both sisters play netball at HFNC and my nan used to. I have been playing netball for 5 years and many to come.
