  2. Overview of E2 Publishing E2 Publishing was established at the beginning of 2011 and grew out of the need to serve large vibrant communities better. The founders of the business own or manage several large groups on LinkedIn and recognised that to bring those groups closer together and to forge genuine communities required a whole new set of tools and thinking.We call it 21st century publishing and it is driven by the strengths of our communities, the quality of the content they produce and the depth of the engagement that comes from this. Unlike traditional B2B publishing E2 recognises that communities are driven by their members and that broadcasting content from a a select group of journalists is no longer a valid model.Although E2 was grounded in the large groups owned by the founders (including 2 groups of over 100,000 members), the aim is to provide a set of tools that will allow all big group owners, whether on LinkedIn or not to create dynamic and powerful 21st century communities.
