  1. 8 Easy Tips for Long-Term Good Dental Health

  2. Proper Dental Care Habits • Our teeth need care and attention for them to stay health for life. They need more than regular brushing so don’t take them for granted. • You need them working hard every single day and that is why proper dental care habits are crucial.

  3. That said, here are easy care tips to ensure that your teeth will stay strong.

  4. Eat Calcium-Rich Food • Calcium helps strengthen the teeth so don’t forget to include it in your daily diet. Foods rich in calcium are milk, sardines, broccoli and cheese. • Eating dairy products may help prevent cavities. The chewing alone can already encourage saliva production which is good for your teeth.

  5. Reduce Intake of Sugary Food • It’s not a secret that sugar can turn into harmful acids that attack the teeth and strip them off minerals. If you have a sweet tooth, try limiting your sugar intake. • You don’t have to eliminate sweets from your diet altogether. But making an extra effort to choose teeth-friendly snacks will go a long way to protecting your teeth from damages.

  6. Include Vitamin C in our Diet • If you have sensitive gums or dental problems, you may want to increase your intake of Vitamin C. Fruits, such as orange, will help your teeth fight against dental issues you may be experiencing.

  7. Get your Daily Dose of Vitamin D • Vitamin D helps our body absorb Calcium better. Sun is the best source of vitamin D so make it a habit to spend some time outdoors, daily. Walk or run for a few minutes. Take your lunch or snacks outside of the office so that you can get your daily Vitamin D.

  8. Drink more Water • This is one of the simplest ways to care for our teeth. Drinking water helps promote saliva production and saliva, in turn, helps teeth surfaces replenish lost minerals. • Water also doesn’t leave any residue and stains on our teeth. If you must drink something sugary, drink water afterwards.

  9. Clean your Teeth the Natural Way • If it’s not possible to brush or floss your teeth after a meal, munch on carrots and apples instead. These two have natural cleaning powers. Because of their water content, they can help rinse off food residue left on teeth after eating.

  10. Postpone Brushing for at least 30 Minutes • Do not brush right way after a meal as our teeth are at their most vulnerable at this moment. Wait for at least 30 minutes before you brush your teeth.

  11. See your Dentist every after 6 Months • Make sure to see your dentist regularly so they can check for signs of dental issues. This is crucial if you want to lower your dental costs. Your dentist can guide you on how you can improve your dental care routine.

  12. Check these Out! • Caring for our teeth does not have to be complex. It takes discipline, though.
