  2. If you don’t already know, eating can actually help you a lot with your oral and dental hygiene in various different ways. The food we need to nourish our bodies can often do a number on our teeth. Sticky or sugary food particles help the bacteria in our mouths to produce acids, leading to tooth decay. That’s why it’s so important to keep our teeth clean between meals. However, according to various dentists and oral hygiene experts from various dental health services, the most effective way to keep your mouth and teeth healthy is to brush and floss 20 minutes after you have eaten the biggest meal of the day. But it is obvious that cleaning our mouth 20 minutes after you have eaten isn’t always possible – this is why you need to adopt a few other ways to keep your mouth healthy. One of these ways is to eat the right food.

  3. Believe it or not, there are a certain kinds of foods, which can be called as the way to keep your mouth clean. Let’s see what those are – 1.    Apples, carrots and celeries – Well, there are times of the day when we want to munch onto some snacks – and we know you most probably go for the unhealthy snacks which are not only bad for your health, but also for your teeth. Well, guess what – there is good news for you when you can munch onto something, as a snack and also keep your mouth, teeth and your body healthy.

  4. Crunchy vegetables and fruits like apples, carrots and celeries increase the flow of cleansing saliva, giving your mouth a fresh feeling.  Just be sure the fruits you choose between meals aren’t high in acid; they can be hard on your tooth enamel.

  5. 2.    Milk or cheese – The dairy products have the ability to reduce the acids in our mouth and eating cheese or drinking a glass of milk can also satisfy your hunger. Good both ways. 3.    Raw onions – We know they are smelly, but they do great for your mouth heath and oral hygiene. Raw onions have powerful antibacterial properties. In an experiment, onions wiped out four strains of bacteria that can cause cavities and gum disease. Of course, after eating raw onions you may end up with killer breath!

  6. 4.    Cashews – Another great food or snack to keep your mouth and teeth healthy is to eat cashews. Cashew nut shell oil has been shown to have microbe-fighting properties against bacteria that lead to tooth decay.
