  2. Your Phone Number & Extension • Your extension is labeled as the “Intercom” button located on the bottom right-hand side of your telephone set. (above Handsfree) • When the main number is called, callers will be greeted by an automated attendant and provided with an option to dial your extension.

  3. Features • To end your calls quickly and quietly press the "Release" button. Use the release button to disconnect all of your calls before you hang up the phone.  It will avoid the noises produced by the handset when you put the phone back on the cradle. • To access your voice mailbox, press your Open Mailbox button or Feature button 981. • To transfer a call to someone’s voice mailbox, press your Transfer to Mailbox button (or 986) then enter the person’s 3-digit extension.

  4. Conference To establish a conference call between yourself and two other parties: • Make or answer the first call. • Put the first call on hold. • Make or answer the second call. • After the second call is connected: • press [3]. • Press the line or intercom button of the first held call. • Press [Rls] to end the conference call To disconnect one party: • Press the line or intercom button of the caller you want to disconnect • Press [Rls]. • Press the line or intercom button of the remaining caller to resume your conversation. To independently hold two calls: • Press the line or intercom button of the first caller, • Press [Hold]. (The second caller is automatically put on hold.)

  5. Last Number Redial • Press Last No. Redial button (or) • Press [5] To Page: Did you know that you can make an announcement which can be heard through the speakers of all telephones?   • Press the Page button or [62] Make your announcement • Press Release to hang up (to avoid the banging noise of the handset)

  6. Initializing Your Mailbox As soon as you receive a new mailbox, it needs to be initialized.  This adds your extension to the Company Directory and allows callers to leave you a message.  Why don’t you stop and initialize your mailbox now? • Press the [Open Mailbox] button on your phone.  (Feature 981) • Enter your default password [0 0 0 0] • Enter a new password and press [OK]  • (Choose a password from 4 - 8 digits long that does NOT start with zero.) • Enter your new password again and press [OK] • At the tone, record your full name in the Company Directory • Press [Release] to end this session

  7. Accessing Voice Mail • Press the [Open Mailbox] button on your phone • Enter your password + # • If you are calling from another phone (offsite) call your main number • When the automated attendant answers, press * * • Enter your mailbox number and password • Press 8 [Mailbox options] • Press 1 [To record Name] • Press 2 [To record your personal greeting] • Press 1 [To record a greeting) • Press 1 [To record primary greeting] • Press 4 [To change your password]

  8. Sample Greeting Your External Greeting can say: "You have reached the voice mailbox of (your name). I am either on the telephone or away from the office. Please leave me your name, telephone number and a detailed message and I’ll return your call as soon as possible. You can also provide specific information such as your office hours or an alternate phone number to call during your absence.
