Underachieving Studentsالطلاب المقصّرون The Sultan’s School: Academic Team مدرسة السلطان – الفريق الأكاديمي The academic team has been asked to: Develop, review and instigate a procedure for improving underachieving students’ levels of learning, achievement and skills. قد طلب من الفريق الأكاديمي: وضع نهج لتحسين مستويات التعلم، والإنجازات، والمهارات عند الطلاب المقصّرين، ومراجعته، والحث عليه.

  2. The Sultan’s School: Academic Team • Underachievement التقصير • An inability or failure to perform appropriately for one’s age or talent, in other words, unfulfilled potential. • عدم التمكن من الأداء المناسب للسن أو الموهبة؛ أي، عدم تحقيق الإمكانيات. • It can be extremely hard to identify underachievers, and to know when underachievement is taking place. • من الصعب تحديد المقصرين، ومعرفة فترة حدوث التقصير.

The Sultan’s School: Academic Team • Academic Monitoring Pathway مسار المتابعة الأكاديمية • Week 1 الأسبوع الأول • Students monitored in all subjects مراقبة الطالب في جميع المواد • Week 2 الأسبوع الثاني • Students monitored for specific subject areas. • مراقبة الطالب في نواحي المواد المحددة. • Week 3…الأسبوع الثالث • The monitoring will continue until the coordinator is satisfied • that the student is no longer underperforming. • تستمر المراقبة حتى يقتنع المنسّق بأن الطالب لم يعد مقصراً. • Continued unsatisfactory progress will result in a case conference • being called to review intervention strategies. • الاستمرار في عدم تحقيق التقدم الكافي يقود إلى اجتماع تشاوري لمراجعة استراتيجيات التدخل.

The Sultan’s School: Academic Team Academic Monitoring المراقبة الأكاديمية Academic monitoringsupport a student’s learning ,providing them with a target for academic improvement. إن التقارير المدرسية تدعم تعلم الطالب، وتقدم له هدفاً للتحسن الأكاديمي. One or two meaningful, achievable and challenging targets will be set per week. يجري تحديد هدفين في الأسبوع الواحد، يكونا ذات معنى، ويمكن تحقيقهما، ويشكلان تحدياً للطالب. Teacher feedback will be measured against the target as follows: تقاس معلومات المعلم المرتجعة مقابل الهدف، كما يلي: [On] Target, [Close] to Target or [Off] Target. حسب الهدف، قريب من الهدف، بعيد عن الهدف.
