Ethical Standards in Social Work and Veterinary Medicine: A Comparative Analysis
This article explores the ethical frameworks guiding two distinct professions: social work and veterinary medicine. Social work emphasizes values and ethics in daily tasks, guided by the NASW Code of Ethics. Similarly, veterinarians adhere to the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics set by the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). By examining these codes, we can identify both the similarities and differences in ethical standards across these fields, shedding light on how they shape professional conduct and client interactions.
