  2. Mrs. Peterson • 1st Year Teaching • Experience substitute teaching in all grade levels K-5 • Student taught in both 2nd and 4th grade • Bachelor’s Degree & Teaching Credential from Vanguard University. • Working on a Masters in Education degree from Ashford University.

Consequences • Warning • 5 minute time out, entry in behavior log and $20 Funny Money fine • Loss of Recess, entry in behavior log and $30 Funny Money fine • Loss of Recess in a buddy classroom, entry in behavior log, a phone call home, and $50 Funny Money fine • Severe: Directly to administration and referral along with a $100 Funny Money fine

  7. Class Government • One of the 5th Grade Social Studies Standards includes understanding our government system. To help students better understand our government, students participate in class government. Students hold class positions and table positions. • You can look in the Class Constitution Folder to find descriptions of class jobs, your child’s Funny Money Register, and a record of how much funny money your child has earned so far this year.

Reading/Technology/Science/Social Studies • 3:00-3:10 Class jobs and write in Binder Reminder • PE: Monday, Thursday, Every Other Wednesday 12:05-12:45. ***Music and Library once a week!!!

Homework Policy • Students will have homework nightly, Monday thru Friday. • Homework should take between 45 minutes to one hour to complete. • Students will have RAH (30 minutes of reading and a reading log entry) and math practice each night. • If your child needs help with his/her homework, please write a note and encourage him/her to come and see me before school.

  15. Binder Reminder • Students will write down homework assignments in their binder reminder each night. • Parents need to review the binder reminder and check the students’ homework assignments each night. • Parents need to sign the bottom of the binder reminder each night.
