WHY ARE THE GREAT LAKES VITAL TO YOUR BUISNESS • Because the biggest trade is between canada and the u.s.a is over the great lakes Also because without the fresh water you would have to fly to ship your items,and that would be a very,very high price.So you need the water so it would be more easier and quicker when your on the ‘’GO’’!
WHAT PRODUCTS ARE TRANSPORTED THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES? • Some objects that are transported through the Great Lakes are things like • Iron ore • Coal • Grains • And steel made up of about 80 percent of all cargoes shipped each year. • So my thought is basiclly our main scources we need in our life/economy basiclly comes through the Great Lakes.Which goes back to why the Great Lakes are important to our lifestyle and economy.
HOW DOES THE LOCATION OF THE GREAT LAKES TO CANADA MAKE SHIPPING YOUR PRODUCTS EASIER AND LESS EXSPENSIVE? • Because the main ports on the Great Lakes are very close. Also they use big boats.And the price for the boats you have to use are very economical,and the boats have a lot of mass.So in that case you can really ship alot of stuff.So when it gets to it’s destination,you can then port it from a train,then ‘’WALAHH’’ everything is easier and cheaper in that case.
HOW COULD DENIED ACCESS TO THE GREAT LAKES AFFECT CANADAS FUTURE DEVELOPMENT? • Because the main goods and products that Canada would need,they wouldn’t be able to get them because they wouln’t have access to the Great Lakes.
