Goal and Objective • A goal is something you desire to obtain in a certain amount of time. • It’s the Big Picture • I want to graduate from high school. • An objective is something that allows you to reach that goal within the deadline. • Specific • I need to get a C or higher in US History by the end of second semester.

  3. Goals What Areas can my goals come from ? • Sales • # of Employees • Assets • Customer Satisfaction • Owner Time Commitment • Profit Margin • Create both short-term and long-term goals.

Your Turn • Take a look at these sample goals and objectives: • Goals: • To increase monthly sales by 50%. • To increase our local client return rate. • To have 10 employees by the end of 2009. • Objectives: • Achieve $31,000 in sales the third month after opening by performing 14 services per day. • Have a local client return rate of 90% by the end of the first six months. • Become an established community Spa destination by the end of the first 12 months.
