Rogaine. Finding our way outdoors. Getting Prepared. Before the race started we collected our maps, pencils and clue sheets from the event director. Then we orientated our maps. 3,2,1 GO!! All the teams went darting off( but our team was smart and got all the clues that were closest to us  ).

  2. Getting Prepared • Before the race started we collected our maps, pencils and clue sheets from the event director.Then we orientated our maps. 3,2,1 GO!! All the teams went darting off( but our team was smart and got all the clues that were closest to us  )

  3. The term “ Rogaine” • The term Rogaine is when a lot of groups or people compete in a long distance 2 hour or more race to find as many clues and as many points in a specific time frame given. • You have to be fit to run a long distance non stop if your not then you can not compete in this event. 

  4. The tree planting activity. • The tree planting activity was the first activity our group came across. They gave you two trees each pair. You had to clear all the weeds from the tree area before you planted. • When you planted, you had to make sure that the plant was all under the dirt completely or else you wouldn’t get you points 

  5. Other activities • Trap and pest recognition _ points you can gain: 300 • Tree recognition adults and babies_ points you can gain: 60 • Telling them what the tree uses were when Maori used them_ points you can gain:10 each one you answered correctly.

  6. Things I enjoyed: • Gaining lots of points! • Spending time with other people and my friends. • Running for so long. • Doing all the activities.

  7. Prizes: • 5 trees_ 5th place • 10 trees_4th place • 15 trees_ 3rd place • 20 trees_ 2nd place • A whole forest_1st place
