Edgewood High School, with roots tracing back to 1822, began as a simple log cabin built by pioneers. Over the years, the school evolved from a two-room structure established in 1855 to a two-story brick building in 1872. In 1963, it combined with Ellettsville and Stinesville schools. The first graduating class emerged in 1964, honoring founders Edward, David, and Samuel Ellett. Today, Edgewood stands strong, focusing on academic excellence and a diverse range of sports, with goals of 90% student proficiency and graduation rates.
