  2. The Office of Undergraduate Education is excited to announce that the Comet Cupboard is now open. The Comet Cupboard is a UT Dallas food pantry initiative dedicated to helping students in need. Any currently enrolled UT Dallas student may use this service.  The Comet Cupboard is located in MC 1.604, the basement of the McDermott Library. Currently, the hours of operation are 3:30pm-6:30pm, Monday-Friday.  Please join us for our Grand Opening - Party on the Plinth event Friday, October 12 at 6:00pm. There will be live entertainment, food, a food drive contest among student organizations, and volunteer opportunities.  How Can You Help? UT Dallas faculty members can help in several different ways. We ask that you encourage students to get involved in this project and refer students in need to the Comet Cupboard service. The Comet Cupboard also needs food donations to keep the shelves stocked for our users. You may bring donations of Needed Items to the Comet Cupboard during operating hours or to Founders (FO) 2.710 between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.  Thank you for supporting this project. We look forward to seeing you at the event on October 12. Sheila Amin Gutierrez de Pineres, PhD Dean of Undergraduate Education The University of Texas at Dallas
