  3. Part One – Career Investigation • Take a look back at your “Who’s Who in the Theatre” notes • Select which career/position sounds MOST INTERESTING to you • You will be writing a one-page paper about this career

  5. Outline • Paragraph 1 • What job you chose, what does that job do?, important spaces in the theatre • Paragraph 2 • What does the book have to say? Online research? Who works for you? Who do you work for? What education/experience/skills do you need? • Paragraph 3 • Why is this job the best fit for you? Conclusion

  6. Details • Must be one page with 3 paragraphs! • Can be typed or handwritten • Correct spelling and grammar are important!! • Worth 20 points • Due Thursday at the beginning of class!

  7. Part Two – Oral Report • You will present a brief oral report on your paper • Will include a slate and five complete sentences

  8. Slating • Slating is introducing yourself and the work you will be performing, including the author • We will slate before EVERY performance!

  11. Details • Must be SIX COMPLETE SENTENCES, including slate • You may bring your oral report written down. You will not turn in your oral report. • You are graded on the content and presentation of your oral report. • Worth 10 points • Due Thursday at the beginning of the period!
