The name of the town is connected with the name of prince SudislavVladimirovich who founded it in the XIth century as a fortress of Kiev Russia. But the first mentions of Sudislavl were only in 1360. The Sudislavl`s Kremlin was wooden.
Sudislavl is a settlement, situated 50 km from the city of Kostroma and 345 km to the north-east ofMoscow. There are 5 thousand people in Sudislavl. In Sudislavl you can see a beautiful cathedral , a hospital, a monument to Vladimir Lenin and a very beautiful Lobanka park. The cathedral was founded in 1758
