Pyknometer Experiment: Density Measurements of Water and Alcohol

This study utilizes a pyknometer to evaluate the densities of water and alcohol at a controlled temperature of 20.6°C. The mass of the empty pyknometer is recorded at 53.16 g, the mass with water is 152.98 g, and the mass with alcohol is 138.97 g. Using these measurements, we calculate the density of each liquid. This experiment highlights the importance of precise measurements in determining liquid densities and showcases the pyknometer's effectiveness in laboratory analysis.
