  4. Learning Goals Gain a greater understanding of rites of passage around the world Ask yourself: Is it a problem that American and Canadian cultures do not have clear transitions between childhood and adolescence or adolescence and adulthood? Does this lead to the “Peter Pan” syndrome?

One more thing… As a final thought for this activity write one small paragraph answering the question: Is it a problem that American and Canadian cultures do not have clear transitions between childhood and adolescence or adolescence and adulthood? Does this lead to the “Peter Pan” syndrome? Summaries to be handed in by the end of the period (one submission per group).

  7. Now blog… Once you have finished your three paragraphs – you group should pick ONE and write about it on the blog page for this task. The objective here is to share the most interesting rite with your classmates.

  8. Now what? When completed you can use the remainder of the period to read The Catcher in the Rye and complete related work
