  1. Home remedies for acne scars Acne and acne scars, especially on the face, can be a matter of great distress for many men and women, especially because we live in the era of picture-perfect selfies. Imagine wasting glorious years of your youth just running away from cameras and devising clever tactics to hide your face in photos and videos. It’s just not worth it! But, firstly: Please know that acne and acne scars are absolutely normal! The biggest misconception we have today (thanks to media) is that human beings are supposed to have even, spotless skin. The models you see on the screen look that way only because of a dozen layers of make-up, light manipulation, and photo editing tools. So, if you have acne, there is no need to hide it or be embarrassed of it. That being said, there is no harm in trying to heal your skin. Here are the best 9 home remedies for acne and acne scars: 1.Aloe vera: A skin in the process of healing requires a lot of moisturization and soothing. Aloe vera is perfect for both. It is also a good source of vitamins and antioxidants that helps alleviate pain, swelling, and redness. It is completely safe for all types of skin, so just lather it up and let your skin glow. 2.Apple cider vinegar: ACV is a natural astringent known to smoothen the skin texture and reduce inflammation. Dab a few drops of this vinegar onto your trouble areas before bed. Wash it off the next morning and you’ll see the difference in the first night itself! 3.Baking soda: This ingredient can be pretty efficacious in its job…but unfortunately also pretty strong. Therefore, people with sensitive skin are sternly advised to refrain from using

  2. it. Baking soda balanced the skin’s pH and acts as an excellent exfoliator. But be sure to NEVER use it directly onto your skin without proper dilution. Use two parts water and one part baking soda to make a paste. Apply this to your skin and rinse off after 1 minute. 4.Honey: Honey is my most favourite gentle remedy for acne on sensitive skin. Most other remedies you’ll come across, however effective, mean torture for those with sensitive skin. So, for those of you – honey is your new best friend. To use honey, dip a cotton swab in the honey and then apply it to the affected area. Leave it for at least 30 minutes before rinsing. 5.Turmeric: Fresh turmeric is a rich source of curcumin, a compound with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce excess production of melanin, which is the chef culprit behind dark acne scars. Use fresh turmeric juice mixed with honey and cucumber juice, to form a balanced weekend face mask for your skin. 6.Cucumber: Now, this remedy is a gentle one and I suggest pairing it with another one from this list because cucumber is great for soothing acne-affected skin, but alone it won’t completely resolve the problem. So, apply grated cucumber on your skin for 15 minutes each evening to prevent the development of oily skin and acne. 7.Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and dries out pimples swiftly. It’s also effective against black and white heads. Mix a tea spoon of tea tree oil in aloe vera gel and apply it on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes, and then wash it off each day before bed. 8.Green tea: Don’t throw away used green tea bags. Here’s what you can do with it instead. Wait for it to cool down and place it on your acne spots. Green tea’s antimicrobial properties can do wonders to acne and acne scars. 9.Mint: Mint leaves are chock full of vitamins A and C, and salicylic acid, a compound that is well known for its acne-fighting properties. Salicylic acid is an active ingredient in literally 90% of all acne creams and lotions ever. So, mint is undoubtedly an effective solution. Grind up mint leaves and make a paste by mixing it with raw honey. Apply the paste to your and leave it on for 15 minutes every day.
