Returning to Higher Education: My Journey After a 17-Year Hiatus

After a 17-year break from schooling, I am thrilled to share my journey back to college. For the past 3.5 years, I have been pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Applications and Office Systems, with a focus on Administrative Assistance. I am set to graduate this spring, excited to embark on a new career and a fresh chapter in my life and for my children. Along the way, I've gained valuable skills in office systems, business editing, and essential computer applications, setting me up for success in the professional world.

  2. Higher learning: After a 17 year hiatus from school, I return to college. I have been taking classes now for 3 ½ years for a 2 years degree. I will be graduating this spring with an Associate of Applied Science degree, Computer Applications and Office Systems – Administrative Assistant. I’m very excited to start a new career and a new chapter in mine and children's life.

Family tree facts: • I’m the oldest of three girls, one older brother which was sacrificed to the marriage god meaning he’s only see on holidays • I have four nephews, six nieces, and one more on the way • I am one of 37 grandchildren on one side, 12 on the other • My grandfather turn 100 years of today! • I’m part of the five generation photo op at family functions; my grandpa, my mom, me, my daughter and her daughter….
