  2. DIRECTIONS • Make certain that you choose the ENABLE MACROS when opening this PowerPoint, if given the option. If you see a “Security Warning” at the top of the screen click “OPTIONS” and then the “ENABLE MACRO” or “ENABLE THIS CONTENT” button. If you do not do this, the game will not work properly. • This was created with PowerPoint Microsoft Version 2007. If you have 2010 version and the images looked messed up on the screen, simply “save as a 2007” version (using 2010 version) so that the formatting will be correct. When opening with a 2010 version it may ask you if you want to open it as a 2007 version. If so, open as a 2007 version so that the formatting will be correct. • Once you make your game always create a backup. Learned this one the hard way! • On the gameboard, click on a number to select a question. The number will disappear to show that it has been chosen when you come back to the gameboard. When you finish with gameboard one you can click on gameboard two at the bottom of the screen and it will take you to another gameboard for continued play if you want. • Click on the box by the answer choices and it will light up red with a “bong” noise if the wrong answer is chosen, and light up green with an “applause if the correct answer is chosen. I award 10 points for every correct answer given but you can score however you wish. • For fun, I added an Easter Beagle attack or Bonus Point option. If the kids answer the question correctly they can have an option to go for extra points or get a possible Easter Beagle attack (no points awarded for correct answer) in which case they will lose points instead from their score. Some of my most exciting moments in my classroom were when a very competitive class got an “attack” just as they were about to win, but got a little greedy and went for the extra points. The whole class would come completely unglued! • After going for Easter Beatle attack or Extra Points, click on “Gameboard” to get back to the gameboard. • Keep score for Team 1 and Team 2 on the lower right of the Gameboard. You can type in these boxes in the “Presentation” mode for PowerPoint. PLEASE NOTE: if you exit the game for any reason during play, the gameboard will reset back to the “beginning of play” and you will lose knowing which questions have been chosen. • Please Note: Do Not Save Changes when ending a game, always save a Backup version of your game, and if you want to switch around right and wrong answer choices, to play the board more than once, just click and drag the answer choice box to a different Letter Choice. • You can play this on a Smartboard, but you will have to use the “mouse” at your computer to choose the characters and answer choices.
