  5. Levator Scapulae: O: Transverse processes of C1-C4 I: Medial border and superior angle of the scapula A: Bilaterally: Cervical extension Unilaterally: Lateral flexion and rotation of the head to the same side Synergist: Splenius cervicis and upper traps

  6. Trapezius: O: External oxxipital protuberance, ligamentumnuchae, medial portion of the superior nuchal line of the occuput, sponous processes of C7-T12 I: Lateral 1/3 of the clavicle, acromion and spine of the scapula A: Upper: Bilaterally: Cervical Extension Unilaterally: Lateral flexion to the same side and rotation to the opposite side, elevate the scapula. Middle: Adduct the scapula, stabilize the scapula. Lower: Depression, upward rotation of the scapula. Synergist: Sternocleidomastoid

  7. Deltoid: O: Lateral 1/3 of the clavicle, acromion, spine of the scapula I: Deltoid tuberosity on the lateral humerus

  8. Teres Major: O: Lateral side of inferior angle and lower half of the lateral border of the scapula I: Crest of the lesser tubercle of the humerus

  9. Latissimus Dorsi: O: Spinous processes of T6-T12, last four ribs, posterior iliac crest I: Crest of the lesser tubercle of the humerus

  10. Pectoralis Major: O: Medial half of the clavicle, sternum and cartilage of ribs 1-6 I: Crest of the greater tubercle of the humerus

  11. Pectoralis Minor: O: 3rd – 5th ribs I: Coracoid process of the scapula

  12. Suprasinatus: O: Suprasinatus fossa of the scapula I: Greater Tubercle of the humerus

  13. Infrasinatus: O: Infraspinous fossa of the scapuls I: Greater tubercle of the humerus

  14. Teres Minor: O: Superior half of the lateral border of the scapula I: Greater tubercle of the humerus

  15. Subscapularis: O: Subscapular fossa of scapula I: Lesser tubercle of the humerus
