  4. Egeus Philostrate • Generally serves the Duke and Duchess • Is the man in the “know” about all things in Athens • Powerful Nobleman • Friend of Theseus • Overprotective Dad of Hermia

  5. Hermia • Lovely young chick of Athens • Daughter of Egeus • Head over heels in love with Lysander • Bravely willing to do anything to marry him against her father’s will

  6. Helena • Athens Beauty • Hermia’s BFF • Totally obsessed with this guy, Demetrius, who she used to go out with. • He dumped her because he fell for Hermia

  7. Lysander • Athens Heart throb • Crazy for Hermia • Willing to stand up to her dad, Demetrius, the Duke, and anyone who stands in the way of their love.

  8. Demetrius • Rich Nobleman • Used to date Helena • Now wants her best friend, Hermia • Hermia’s dad, Egeus, totally approves of him. • He’s kind of a player.

  12. Titania • Beautiful Queen of the Fairies • Knows how to get what she wants • Uses her powers freely • Has issues with her hubby Oberon

  13. Puck • Likes to cause trouble. • Oberon’s assistant • Uses his magic to wreak havoc • Thoroughly enjoys himself • One of the most famous characters in all of literature

  14. The Fairies • Serve Titania, the fairy queen • Sing, dance, and generally be merry and magical
