    3. POSITIVE PRACTICES COMMITTEE STATEWIDE POSITIVE PRACTICES MEETING QUARTERLY, IN MECHANICSBURG PRESENTATIONS ON RELEVANT TOPICS REGIONAL POSITIVE PRACTICES MEETINGS POSITIVE PRACTICES RESOURCE TEAM (PPRT) ONGOING REVIEW OF RESTRAINT DATA/TRENDS

    4. HEALTH CARE QUALITY UNITS 8 HCQUs across the commonwealth Nurses and behavioral health staff Training on a variety of health topics, including behavioral health Technical Assistance, including case reviews Community capacity-building Each HCQU is involved in local community, many individual initiatives based on needs of counties and providers

    5. HCQUs: DDPC GRANT ON DUAL DX Multi-year investigation of community supports for individuals with dual diagnosis in PA Focus groups across the state with stakeholders from both ID and MH Themes included: Create greater access to behavioral health supports for people with dual diagnosis; Cross Systems Integration: State and Local Level; Public awareness to increase acceptance and access; Education for one and all. As a result, workgroups were initiated and deliverables are ongoing

    6. SAFER OPTIONS Initiative to address supports for individuals with problematic sexual behavior Curriculum developed by Sharon Potter and Nancy Nowell Network of consultants/providers who have been trained Training is ongoing, in partnership with HCQUs Consultation is available through ODP

    7. CROSS-SECTOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE WORKGROUP Initiated by ODP/Bureau of Autism Services To address the critical issue of people with ID, MH and ASD intersecting with criminal justice system in PA Participation from many Public Welfare offices and stakeholder groups Developing networks, resources, and information to address complex challenges

    8. JIMMIE LITIGATION SETTLEMENT Supporting people with ID in State Hospitals, supporting people to move to community placements Multidisciplinary Teams Assessment and treatment Training Planning Transition Task Force: Gap Analysis & Recommendations

    9. DID YOU KNOW ? Mental health clinicians can be qualified to provide Behavior Support services to individuals in ODPs waivers? More than half of the ID population has co-occurring mental health needs More than half of the ID population has co-occurring complex trauma Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities can and do benefit from psychotherapy?
