Announcements Power Standards Review Sheet due Monday, April 9 (students had 2 class periods to work on this, but it will be due when we return from break and is a classwork grade) I changed this assignment from the Newsletter entitled Power Standard Review Project- there will be NO PROJECT, just the review sheet Tuesday, April 10 Science SLO Post-test (this will go in the gradebook- students will have until Friday, April 13 at lunch to do test corrections) Types of Waves Quiz, Monday, April 16 (Can use one side on a 3x5 index card) Waves and Light Units Assessment Wednesday, April 25 SC Ready Science Monday, April 30

Monday, April 9, 2018 Standard: 8.S.1A.4; 8.E.4B.4; 8.E.5A.4; 8.E.6A.2; 8.P.2A.1; 8.P.2A.1 Plan and conduct controlled scientific investigations to test how varying the amount of force or mass of an object affects the motion (speed and direction), shape, or orientation of an object. Objective: SWBAT review and explain the 5 Power Standards for the SLO Post test; create and conduct a lab for Force, Motion, and Speed Power Standard. Classwork: Power Standards SLO Review Sheet due in class, Monday, April 9 3rd and 4th: Review Power Standards SLO Review Sheet (classwork grade); Whirligig Lab Write-up (5th Performance Task) 6th and 7th: Review Power Standards SLO Review Sheet (classwork grade); Whirligig Lab (5th Performance Task) Homework: Study for SLO Post-test tomorrow, April 10 (will be a test grade- students will be able to do test corrections)

  6. After the test 3rd and 4th- Grab a copy of Station C to finish the lab write up. When you are done with the write up, I will check it one time for feedback. You will place it in YOUR CLASS COLOR TURN IN BIN. Finish the write up for homework if not finished in class Tuesday. VOCABULARY SHEETS ARE ON MY DESK

Objective: SWBAT conduct a Behavior of Waves lab; identify and calculate parts of a wave; identify and classify keywords related to Types of Waves concepts. Classwork: Introduction to Waves Unit Vocabulary Words Station 1 of 3; Stations work is due Friday, April 13 Homework: Study all Waves Vocabulary Words and Notes
