  1. Utopia Influenced by The Great Unity, Peach Blossom Shangri-La, and Voyage to Lilliput

  2. Geographical Structure • Island • Easily protected • Reduces influence from outside corruption • Small houses

  3. Technology • Kept at minimum because • Causes antisocial behavior • Links utopia to outside world • Only used to enhance medicine • Minimalist lifestyle

  4. Religion • Monotheistic • Believe in one God • Prevents division • Prevents discrimination • Sets moral compass • Instills beliefs of equality, loyalty, and selflessness Side note: If a utopia was to be made in real life, I would like it to be where people from any religion to escape. I believe that a life without hatred and discrimination could exist, albeit difficult. However, for this fictional work, monotheistic would work best.

  5. Education • General education • Reading and writing • Leave for specialized school at age 10 • Groomed for jobs • Citizens go into family businesses • If another position is desired, a petition can be made

  6. Government • Organized council for disputes • Rotational schedule • Similar to jury duty • Prevents singular power • Decisions must be unanimous • If all possess the same morals, this should be easy

  7. Money • Paper currency does not exist • Prevents class division • Poverty does not exist • Free essentials • Bartering system for the few luxury goods

  8. Clothing • Clothing is essential and therefore does not require bartering • If dyes are used, must be used throughout • Each person has seven outfits to last a week • Consists of shirt, pants, and shoes • Seasonal clothing may be offered

  9. Morals • Everyone is equal • No sexism, even based on jobs • No discrimination of any kind • Race • Sexual orientation • Handicap • Pride is frowned upon • Loyalty and selflessness held above all else
