  2. In the early days of the Web, everyone accessed the Web using a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. • Today people use phones or other pocket mobile devices • Today touch screen interfaces instead of keyboards and mice • Some people access the web through audible interfaces

Speech input and output technologies are available for use on phones or in cars. • Many people who are blind depend on speech output, and people who are unable to use their hands depend on speech input. • People with disabilities have been using these technologies for decades.   6. HTML - Stands for HyperText Markup Language. HTML is the language that has historically been used to create documents on the web. It is plain text, but includes a variety of tags that define the structure of the document, and allow documents to include headings, paragraphs, images, links, lists, tables, and other features. • CSS - Stands for Cascading Style Sheets. CSS is a language that is used in conjunction with HTML to control how web pages are displayed. The difference between HTML and CSS is that HTML defines the structure and content of the document, and CSS controls the presentation. World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

  16. Assignment 1 • Browse the web and choose two website that you think are good and two that you think are bad. • Rate each site from 1 to 5 (5 being the highest). • Comment on the site's design. Does the site look good? What is the eye drawn to immediately? • Comment on the site's content. What seems to be the main purpose of the site? Is the purpose clear? • Comment on the site's noteworthy features. How do the features enhance the site's main purpose? • Use the 10 elements of good design to evaluate the site. • Make 2 copies, one for your notebook and class discussion and one to turn in.
