This internship at Génétiporc from May 16 to August 15, 2007, in Alexandria, MN, provided hands-on experience in the swine industry. Established in Canada, Génétiporc is a leader in high-health genetic lines. As an intern, I managed research at Traverse Clean, assisted with technical support and various projects, and worked closely with Nucleus and Multiplication farms. I gained valuable insights into production knowledge, data collection, and swine genetics while collaborating across departments. This experience enhanced my understanding of industry practices and developed professional connections.
