  1. Mistakes Pet Owners Should Avoid

  2. Overlooking Ticks What do you do when you spot a tick or two on your dog? You remove it and then forget about it. It is one of the gravest mistakes dog owners do. Ticks in dogs leads to serious disease like Lyme, Rocky mountain spotted fever and other diseases as well. Never overlook ticks and if you find any ticks on your furry friend, always remove it with tweezers. You can also follow few home remedies for it like: • Using natural oils • Covering them • Rubbing lemon on affected area If you have spotted 3 or more ticks in a week, make sure to visit the vet for a thorough checkup.

  3. Keeping the food bowl full Nowadays, weight increase is one of the most common problem in dogs. Apart from less exercise, Overeating is one of the reason why weight increases. One should always give proportionate amount of healthy food to their dogs. Don’t keep the food bowl of your dog full as that will make your dog eat more. Try treating your dog to hard long lasting treats like ‘Dogsee Chew Bars’ - A himalayan hand crafted chew rich in calcium & proteins. dogseechew.com

  4. Ignoring Exercise It is said that, “A Healthy dog is a Happy dog”. Regular exercise is essential for dogs and just a lazy walk doesn't cut it. Studies shows that dogs who regularly exercise more have a longer lifespan than the ones who don’t.

  5. Lack of attention Just like kids, pets also gets bored if you don’t play with them. A bored dog becomes whiny and adopts habits like chewing, digging and barking. Always keep your dog’s attention and make them feel loved. You can innovate games for them like hiding their treats and let them find around home or play hide and seek with them.

  6. Leaving dogs alone for long Dogs left alone for longer duration are likely to develop separation anxiety. It is recommended not to leave your dog alone for long as they may develop destructive habits and it also leads to depression. Better choices would be a dog care/cafe. TherPUP is one good example of it. It is a Bangalore based dog cafe which gives dog treats and caters a healthy environment for all dogs. dogseechew.com
