Fish Bowl- Get It Started • What are your favorite things about the book? Characters, plot, etc? • Which character do you connect with the most? Why? • Why did Hollis’s first grade teacher put a big X on her drawing? How would you have felt if that happened to you? Why? • Why is Hollis pre-occupied with thoughts of the Regans while she is living with Josie? • Describe Hollis’s first fishing experience. How is this similar to a first experience you have had? • Why does Hollis not want to think about her “W” picture while she is living with Josie? • How does Beatrice’s praise of her art affect Hollis?
