  5. Cost of being Graded • Works on a sliding scale – depending on number of units (rooms, chalets, sites) • 1-3 units = R1528.00 • 4-8 units = R2082.00 • 9-15 units = R2504.00 • Etc……… • These are per annum costs • 50% can be claimed back!!! (TEP)

  6. Reach for Those Stars • 5 stars 95-100% • 4 stars 85-95% • 3 stars 75-85% • 2 stars 65-75% • 1 star 55-65%

Assessment Procedure • Establishment makes application • An invoice is generated and paid • Assessor makes appointment • Overnight stay arranged • Assessment discussed next morning • Recommendation sent to TGCSA H/O for approval • Approvals done by Board middle of every month • Certificate & plaque (additional cost) sent to establishment • Assessment is annual but ad hoc inspections may be done
